Critical thinking from the top minds in SEO!

Frustrated by the vast amount of misinformation floating around about what works and what doesn’t, I felt there was a real need for a resource that would help site owners and new SEOs separate the wheat from the chaff. Knowing that publishing such a resource would just add to the confusion, I remembered an old adage, attributed to K’ung Fu-tzu (Confucious, circa 551-479 B.C.), which seemed like an ideal approach:

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.”

And so was born my idea for Critical Thinking for the Discerning SEO. It makes a lot more sense to teach people how to think, rather than what to think.

I reached out to forty-four prominent professionals in various corners of the Internet arena, asking them to contribute to a compilation of in-depth responses to some recurring questions. The response was inspiring… more than thirty took time out of their busy schedules to share their thoughts on fourteen questions, plus one of their own (some of those last were pure gold).

Instead of the 20-30 page ebook I’d originally envisioned, I ended up with a 180 page tome, with nearly 500 insightful answers to relevant issues… all designed to teach someone how to use critical thinking to find the right answers for them.

Since the contributors were responsible for much of the content, it didn’t seem fair for me to line my pockets from Critical Thinking. So I decided that offering it free, in exchange for a small donation to a charity of the reader’s own choice was the best solution.
