Link building with press releases is so easy. Just crank out a press release every time you land a new client, hire someone, write a blog post or make it through the day without dropping an f-bomb and poof: Instant links.

Still Looking to Disavow Every Link?

Now that the dust has settled down around the launch of Google Disavow Link tool, I thought I’d spend some time thinking about it before writing this post.

The big concern I still have is that how strongly Google have warned website owners about using the tool instead of manually removing the links. Also they have reminded webmasters not to use the Disavow tool for your own internal pages in case they got a penalty in the past.

Some Dos and Don’ts of Linkbuilding Today

Over the last 15 months or so, a couple of black & white Google mascots have pretty much upset the way some people went about acquiring links to their sites.

For the most part, I think the motivation behind loosing those critters on us was well-intended. Realistically, though, I really wonder whether it’ll have lasting effects… at least the effects that were intended.
